How Exterior Solutions started
Exterior Solutions is run by Colin OKeeffe. It began as a hands-on way to do work with a visible result at the end of the day, and it has stayed deliberately small since — the person who quotes the job is the person who shows up to do it.
After relocating to the New River Valley, Colin kept the same way of working: answer the phone, give a straight number, and finish the job properly before moving on to the next one.
Why the New River Valley
This part of Virginia is hard on exterior surfaces. Tree cover, elevation, and long stretches of humidity keep siding, concrete, and roofs damp, which is exactly what algae, mildew, and organic buildup need.
Working a defined area also means shorter drive times, easier scheduling around weather, and the ability to come back if something needs a second look. Blacksburg, Christiansburg, and Radford are the core of that area, with Roanoke, Salem, Cave Spring, Pulaski, and Riner also served.
The right method for the surface
Not every surface should be cleaned the same way. Siding and compatible roofing are soft washed at low pressure with a cleaning solution that does the work instead of force. Concrete driveways and walkways are cleaned with a rotating surface cleaner so the finish is even rather than striped. Pavers, stone, wood, and composite are treated more conservatively, with joints and older material taken into account first.
Choosing the wrong method is what damages a property, so the method is decided surface by surface during the walkthrough — not set once for the whole job.
How customers are treated
